Use exclamations from the hit videogame/film franchise MORTAL KOMBAT to write an HTML page. Each exclamation translates to HTML code with tie-ins to Bootstrap CSS, Google Fonts and color schemes generated using Lavish, allowing you to quickly write a decent-looking, responsive website.
Use the Atom package manager, which can be found in the Settings view!
Begin by opening up a new file in Atom and typing MORTAL KOMBAT!
Now, the arena is yours! Use all-caps, Mortal Kombat inspired exclamations to write your website. Once ready to convert to HTML, press
cmd-alt-K to translate your incoherent shouting into beautiful kode.
*Most of the kode waits for a line break before adding the closing tag. So be sure to use indenting and lines like you would in HTML. For example:
ROUNDHOUSE KICK! BRUTAL! QUIET! example
Would give you a center-aligned, muted H1 tag that reads "example"*
begin html, head
ROUND ONE: title here

KOMBATANT VERSUS KOMBATANT
In Markup-Kombat, your website is the arena. The colors and fonts of your site are dictated by the kombatants in the arena. As of version 0.1.0, you have your choice between any of the original Mortal Kombat playable characters. The kombatant before "VERSUS" dictates the colors, the one after dictates the fonts. Kombatants to choose from:
end head, begin body
YOUR SOUL IS MINE!
X-HIT COMBO! Since we're using Bootstrap as our main CSS, substitute X for any number between 1 and 12, making sure that any row doesn't exceed 12 "HITS" total.
end divs (like jumbotron, columns and rows)
IS THAT YOUR BEST?
FEAR ME! or
BRING IT! or
LET'S DANCE! followed by a space and your paragraph. End the paragraph with a carriage return.
THIS WILL BE EASY!
FOR THE SHAOLIN!
VENGEANCE WILL BE MINE!
FROSTY! http://example.com button text or
TOASTY! http://example.com button text or
GET OVER HERE! http://example.com button text
PICTURE THIS! http://example.com/example.jpg alt text or
SHOW ME YOUR MOVES! http://example.com/example.jpg alt text
THOSE WERE $500 SUNGLASSES, ASSHOLE!
